What is Pocket Crates?
Pocket Crates is the community library for Pocket Console — a place where drummers upload their own multi-mic recordings, get them reviewed, and share them with everyone. It's the raw material Pocket Console plays back.
How does it work?
You record a kit or a single piece, upload the zip along with a short demo, and an admin reviews it for technical quality (naming, velocity layers, mic coverage). Once approved, it's automatically converted into Pocket Console's format and shows up in the browse library for everyone.
Is it really free?
Yes. Every approved community kit is free to browse and use in Pocket Console — that never changes. Curated bundles and the $7.99/month subscription are optional extras on top of a library that stays free either way.
How do I get paid for my kit?
If your kit is included in a paid bundle, you earn a share of a 30% royalty pool every time that bundle sells — split evenly across the kits in it. Connect a Stripe account from Payout Settings and payouts run automatically every month, no invoicing needed.
What is Pocket Console?
Pocket Console is the drum plugin this community feeds — it plays back the multi-mic recordings uploaded here, mapped into a consistent, ready-to-play format. Pocket Crates is where that content comes from and where contributors are credited and paid.
